Catorce Anos!!!

We celebrated our 14 year anniversary this weekend!!! First, we rolled out of bed and tumbled off to the movie theater...only to find out True Grit started 50 minutes later than we thought! So, we headed to Bloomingdales and got Pops a new pair of shoes! And we saw a designer red onesie on the rack for hella bank...we were ahead of the trend and got ours at LL Bean :) Then it was back to the theater where we saw True Grit, which, in Lilly's opinion, should get the Oscar this year. 127 Hours has Adams vote, fyi. After a delicious lunch of peasant pies, we headed over to Jackson Arms for a little target practice. We shot a 9MM and did pretty good, if we do say so ourselves. Then we rustled up some steak nachos and quesadillas and settled in at the homestead. A mighty fine anniversary indeed :)

Movie Night - Black Swan

It's almost time for the Oscar winners to be announced! So, we're playing catch-up and watching a bunch of nominated flicks. Thursday it was 127 Hours with James Franco - a really pretty and inspiring saga of a guy who has to cut his arm off, nuts! Last night it was Black Swan - a creepy, thrilling look at a ballerinas life and death. Today it was Dogtooth - a disturbing, gross movie from Greece about a very weird family. Tomorrow it's True Grit - after which we'll go shootin' at the range. Woohoo!!!

Reverse Happy Hour at Cathead's BBQ

OMG so tasty. This spot, formerly The Corner, now hosts different chefs/restaurants every month. The reverse happy hour starts at 11pm and features "rural cuisine" - i.e. pulled pork sandwiches, brisket sliders, pickled veggies, mac 'n cheese and coleslaw. We'll have to visit again before these folks hit the road.

Kungar-Ol Ondar

Since our video won't upload, here's one of him on David Letterman.

Kongar-Ol at Kaleidascope

Master throat-singer from Tuva, Kongar-Ol, came all the way to a little room in San Francisco to entertain us. Wow. What a beautiful sound!!!

Softball in Diamond Heights

Ad crushed it a couple times and fielded some mean line drives. Lil crushed it once and missed a couple pop-flys, then found a home as catcher. They both had an awesome day on the field! Woohoo!

Went off without a hitch - next we can cast some models and seem like we know what we're doing! Woohoo!
