Favors and Flavors

The gang got together to assemble the yummy party favors and also indulge in the latest fare of our executive chef, Gary Elsh. All we can say is that everyone is in for a treat!

Sleep under the stars

Feeling adventurous? Guests are bringing tents and sleeping bags to camp out after a long night of partying. If you would rather not make the trip home, throw your gear in the back seat and you'll be set.

Cold Front

It appears, thanks to our sfgate.com weather forecast, that there's a cold front moving in this weekend. So, cozy on up with a sweater or light jacket, cook s'mores next to the fire, or get all warm and fuzzy with the keg!

Recommended Manteca Hotels

It's hard to write 'recommended Manteca hotels', but we realize its a relative concept. A good tip is to stay away from the off-brand unkowns. No experimenting. No Rose Motel. Go with the chain. Fortunately, there are a couple of those not far from the wedding, at the junction of 99 and 120: Holiday Inn Express and Best Western Inn. It's practically a straight line between these hotels and the reception, but we don't recommend drinking and driving. Instead, take advantage of one of Manteca's taxi services - and our open bar - by calling Red Top Taxi (209-239-7179) or Metro Yellow Cab (209-823-2424).

Update: We have just received late-breaking word of a La Quinta Inn near Lilly's parents house. It's actually closer than the two mentioned above - at the Jack Tone Road exit at Highway 99.

Bachelorette Bash!

The ladies painted the town again...but this time got sloshed in the process. We hit the Mission's hottest spots - Beauty Bar, Skylar and Blondie's Bar and No Grill, to be specific- and made them even hotter. The men couldn't resist; we started dancing, they tried romancing, we had to beat them off with sticks. Let's all do it again real soon!
