Bike, Lunch, Park

Sunday we decided to ride over to the park and have a little picnic. Much of Golden Gate Park is closed to autos on the weekend so we have the run of the roads...and people were out in full force taking advantage. There's a new paved area for roller-skaters where you can watch choreographed dances..funny stuff. There was free Lindy Swing dance lessons in another area, which looked like something we might want to do in the future. A trumpet player was playing Coltrane off in a secluded area of the park, where no other sound could be heard, and it was just beautiful. Can't wait for another day in the park!

Dinner at Memphis Minnies

When you want some BBQ, this place hits the spot. It's good old-fashioned home cookin' at it's best. Brisket, corn muffin, beans, coleslaw and sweet potato pie. Nothing finer on a warm Summer night.

Laying Out in the Park

After playing ball we were tired and a little sore, so laying out seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, the wind decided to pick up and our warm day turned cold. Someday we'll get a little tan...someday!

Sunny Day of Softball

It felt like it was officially Summer in the city Saturday...and what better way to celebrate than play a little ball? Fun times!

Dinner at Phat Philly

We took the Bart train out to 24th and Mission for some authentic Philly food. Mmmmm, delish. And we got to take in a Sharks hockey game while we were at it!

No Exit at A.C.T. Theatre

A weird little production where we watched, on television screens placed center stage, the actors locked in a room in "Hell". While they tormented each other, we learned what sent them to this inferno and were asked by the "Bellhop" if we saw ourselves in them. Until none of the audience saw their reflections there would be a never-ending replay of these events in Hell. So, of course, the story started over and we could see nothing had changed in the end.
