Drive to San Diego

We took the Great Highway to San Diego and saw some interesting sights on the way. Long Beach has a crazy industrial element, with acres of stacked semis. It reminded us of The Wire's season on the port. Along the way, we passed beach after gorgeous beach. Lotsa bonfires. We stopped to catch the sunset and aaahhh, was it ever beautiful.

Ting Tings at LA Live

We saw the Ting Tings at Club Nokia. They rocked. Their opener, Natalie Portman's Shaved Head did not. Fun times!

Our Stay in LA

LA is a great place to stay. So, we really dug The Standard. It had such cool decor and vibes. The downtown has some cool little bars and plenty of cafes. And they keep the streets really clean - crazy. Oh, and on a morning walk, Lilly noticed a poor, disgusting little rat trapped in a trash can. Uck. But, overall it's a combination Vice City, laid-back, pimpin' place. Loves it.

Rooftop Fun LA Style

Roof lovers that we are, we had a great time on this fine one! Unbelievably beautiful views, a movie playing on the neighboring building, a gorgeous pool...yummy cocktails and tasty treats...heaven. Aaaahhhhh.

Arrive in LA

We arrived in LA, found our way to The Standard, took in a lovely view, had a delicious meal and zonked. Amen.
