Print it

Since we've heard about a couple discrepancies between internet and store prices, we suggest printing out the registry and bringing it with you. Also, double check when you're buying online that you're being charged the right price. Good luck!

What to wear

Several people have asked what they should wear to the wedding. Is is formal? Is it casual? Well, it's somewhere in between I guess. We want everyone to be comfortable and ready to bust a move on the dance floor, yet still look their best for all the cameras that are going to be snapping off. Here are a few things to keep in mind: outdoor evening wedding, dancing a must, bride and groom aren't wearing the typical gaudy gown and tux. With that in mind, turn it out!

Drink up!

What's your favorite cocktail? So far we've had votes for the Washington Apple, Long Island Iced Tea, and "something with espresso in it". If you're having trouble remembering exact ingredients or measurements, check out www.webtender.com for help.

Pictures Wanted!

We set up a flickr account online so everyone can share their pictures of the wedding. We'd love it if you could also upload any pictures you already have of us. Just go to www.flickr.com to sign up for an account (it's free) and use the tag "elsh" for any pictures you want to include. If you just want to browse, type "elsh" in the "find a photo" space, then click on aelsh29. Happy hunting!

Invitations

We have sent out almost all our invitations, and have received our first RSVP (thanks Margie and David!).

We made our invitations by hand because we wanted something unique. The ones we found out there were really lame. So far the reviews have been good.

Flax Art provided the beautiful paper. We cut the dragonfly paper into 3" x 5" sections, and the blue paper slightly smaller at about 2 3/4" x 4 3/4". We went to Kinkos' to cut the paper, spending a couple hours using their big paper slicer (without buying anything and without being harassed about it!)

Here are our materials:
