We've made our travel arrangements to attend Clint and Alicia's wedding on the beautiful island of Kauai! Once we laid our eyes upon The Palmwood the search for a place to stay was over. This b&b looks so serene nestled in the hills, and the prospect of getting massages on our private deck was too much to pass up! Now all we have to do is get in shape so we look smokin' in our swimming attire, lose our San Francisco tan (or lack thereof), and shop shop shop!
We've gotten quite cozy in our new place...waking up with the sunshine, enjoying the breeze that seems only to exist higher up. It's so nice to not hear footsteps clomping around overhead as well...can't say enough about that! We found a nifty glowing "A" that serves as our end table and bedside lamp. Now we just need to find an "L" to match!
It's almost time for these lovebirds to tie the knot! It seems like only yesterday Clint was telling us about this great girl he met at school and we began to notice how much he loved going to class. There was magic in the air when he told us of his plans to take Alicia to the famed house in the forest...and, sure enough, Clint popped the question and the rest is history! On June 23, 2007 Clint and Alicia will begin their happily ever after. We're getting so excited for you two...and the trip to Hawaii!
Monday Lilly spent the day at Hairplay doing a photo shoot with her hair designer, the brilliant Matthew Mommer, and several other lucky girls. He's making a portfolio of his work and that means lotsa costumes and hairdos. Thankfully the photographer gave lots of instruction - look sneaky, pout the lips, hold the fire extinguisher to the ceiling - so it wasn't totally humiliating. Mostly it was super fun to have curly hair for a day. Maybe he's on to something!
Ad and Lil made their way to Monterey last weekend to visit Lynn at her new place! Andrew came up from Ripon and together we hit up some local hot spots. First off was Starbucks, of course, and then on to the gorgeous beach at Carmel where we threw a stuffed animal around for Squeak (Lynn's dog) and took in the sights. Gorgeous! We walked around downtown for a while, took in some local bands playing on the pier, and enjoyed the fresh sea air. After that it was pizza at Gianni's, just about the biggest pizza restaurant we've ever seen, and quite delicious as well. The evening was spent picking out some fine brew at Whole Foods, drinking it, then going out to the bars. Good times! All in all it was a great night, followed by a yummy trip to the Paris Bakery the next morning.
Adam and Lilly are the proud renters of a top floor apartment. Yaaa! The views, the sunlight, the breeze, the rooftop access, bird watching for Blappy...we love it! These are some shots of the place, sans our belongings. We've made a few changes and filled it up by now, but it still seems much more spacious than our last place...which is saying a lot. Oh, and cooking on an old Wedgewood is pretty cool too.
