for a minute there...we lost ourselves

Ouside Lands Day 1: Amazing! We arrived a little after 5 on Friday to a foggy Golden Gate Park. Steel Pulse was pumping their sweet reggae over the whole place as we got in line for some refreshing cocktails. Then we were treated to the interesting sounds of Manu Chao - fun, but when it was time for Beck we high-tailed it outta there. It was like a herd of cattle trampling over to the Sutro stage to see Beck. People were jumping fences and just generally acting wild. Beck was sweet, but when it was time for Lyrics Born, we high-tailed it outta there too! Now, Lyrics Born was where it was at. We could actually get close to the stage and even see him. Plus, he played our favorite songs - Differences and I like it, I love it. After Lyrics Born we made our way to the Lands End stage for Radiohead. Night was setting in and the light from the stage cast a cool glow over the Polo Fields. A light mist was sprinkling over everyone. It was in this setting that we heard the coolest live show ever. Thom Yorke sang better in person than could even be imagined and Radiohead played some of the best songs in their repertoire. It was like a dream. Aaaahhh. Now we're off for Day 2! Wooohooo!
